    Overnight Accommodations

A block of rooms at a discounted rate are usually reserved under Goodman & Associates at the seminar site. Frequently, there is an expiration date on the discount which could be as early as 30 days prior to the seminar.

Occasionally hotel reservation personnel lack room block information.  In the event of problems, ask to speak to the sales office agent who is handling the Goodman & Associates event.  Hotel personnel will only recognize Goodman & Associates. Any further problems please go to the Contact Me Page.

The room block is for only two nights: the evening prior and the next night.  Nonetheless, some hotels will extend that rate for a lengthier stay.  The closure date for that price will vary and cannot be guaranteed by Goodman & Associates.  The room arrangement is between you and the hotel.

If the hotel is not within your budget, ask the front desk for recommendations on surrounding accommodations.

    Cancellations

Paid registrants who cannot attend may be rescheduled to a more convenient/future date.  In that event, it is the registrant’s responsibility to find a suitable date/location/subject.  Also, colleague substitutions for paid registrants are acceptable.   Cancellations received prior to two weeks before the date of the seminar will be honored.  Later cancellations, up to two-day prior, will require a $150 fee. If notification of cancellation is not received two business days prior to the day of the seminar, the full fee is payable.

    Customer Service/Complaints

Direct all inquiries and problems to Nat Goodman via the Contact Me page.

    Transportation/Directions

Be careful not to confuse hotels.  There could be more than one Holiday Inn or Hilton in an area.  Telephone the hotel telephone number for driving directions.  Be specific with your shuttle/taxi driver.

Many hotels, particularly those located near the airport will furnish complimentary transportation to/from that nearby airport. Departing attendees frequently couple up on taxis or obtain rides with others who are returning rented vehicles.

Parking costs are variable.  Some hotels charge all guests while others will provide free or discount parking to overnight/restaurant customers.  Some hotels require a stamp applied by the restaurant. Many parking facilities are simply free.

    Eating Arrangements

An in-seminar room continental breakfast has been arranged for both days starting at 8:00 AM.  These breakfast items are normally presented all morning.  Soft drinks are also offered in the afternoon.

Generally, most attendee pre-order lunch from an in-hotel restaurant.  Correspondingly, lunch is set for the seminar group at the site hotel restaurant.  Goodman & Associates will arrange for separate checks that can be paid by cash, credit card or charged to the hotel sleep room.  Those that are not interested are welcome to do their own "thing" for lunch.  However, there is a time risk associated with a non-preordered lunch at a distant restaurant.

    Session Atmosphere/Conduct

The sessions are relaxed with plenty of opportunity for one-to-one interaction with the presenter and other attendees. Lunch, breaks and after-hour networking is encouraged.

Correspondingly, dress is informal. Heating and air conditioning can be variable during the day in hotels; so layered clothing/light over wear is always a safe bet.

The attendees sit at tables set in U-shape in order to foster open communications. Slides, case studies and discussions make up the agenda. Each participant is given spiral workbooks that contain copies of slides and cases with adequate space for note taking. After the session, the seminar leader will prepare a list of e-mail addresses and telephone numbers of the attendees in order to cultivate associations.

    Special Groups/Additional Scheduling

In order to serve customers more effectively, Goodman & Associates can prepare customized/additional workshops to serve:

    • A number of interested parties from various organizations in an industry who band/brought together to support a focused workshop; for example, retail companies or financial services organizations may desire a special industry concentration

    • An organization that has a number of attendees and desires to get individualized attention to their objectives; generally an in-house seminar enriched by Nat Goodman’s preview of that organizational procedures

    • An organization that is looking beyond AP and wishes to tap into Nat Goodman’s overall expertise in best practices; refer to the biographical About Me
